THERE ARE NO SPECTATORS
By holding a mirror up to the masses, creating conversations, encouraging activism and stimulating all of the senses at the same time!- Shangri-La aims to expand minds and open hearts, motivating people in politics and play.
This radical area has a deep history in outsider art and underground culture. By inviting new collaborators each year to contribute to its evolving narrative, the furthest corner of the festival remains an incredible creative playground where this anarchic spirit continues to manifest in original and new ways, inspiring the next generation of cultural revolutionaries and amplifying the collective conscience.
This is more than just a party in a field, it is an outdoor gallery, an interdisciplinary space, aiming to inspire, educate and connect with a wide variety of causes, knowledge and movements.
There are no Spectators.

At the heart of Shangri-La is a world of hope and acceptance and this year we present a one-off arena in response to what's happening all over the world - THE PEACE STAGE - a place to come together in solidarity. Love is the only answer.
The Peace Stage occupies an abandoned shopping mall at the end of The Parade, where the only consuming is of culture. This is where the most exciting new talent and legendary acts perform side by side. Each day, the occupiers will be spreading their message of love through art interventions, speeches and performance - uniting us all.
Dancers in residence Shade Cartel will be based here, bringing the vibe with their queer, inclusive collective. Artists in residence include: Benjamin irritant, Fart Attack, Wondercloud, Carry On Screening, Ninebob and Dr D.
The Sistxrhood continues to evolve in step with the gender revolution and this year will be open to all, whilst remaining a safe space hosting everything

The Sistxrhood is a safe(r) space for all women, non-binary and trans people, marginalised genders, Disabled people and our allies. A space to uplift, empower and support one another. We ask everyone to be respectful of this space, those who it is for, and each other.
Glastonbury Festival’s first dedicated South Asian space, Arrivals has been designed in collaboration with Dialled In, Daytimers and Going South and is conceptualised by an entirely South Asian team.
The visitors to Arrivals will be transported through a portal to an alien jungle planet, immersed by an audio visual world coded in solar punk, carnivorous plants, cyborg beasts and space pirates. The space bridges across nostalgia to futurism, a sensory feast of vivid lights and colours, remixing the worlds of pulp sci-fi classics within a newly redefined South Asian aesthetic. Artists playing include the revered DJ Ritu, an icon of the 90s Asian Underground scene, as well as emerging artists such as Anish Kumar, Gracie T and mainstays like Manara and Nabihah Iqbal.
The stage is designed by Shankho Chaudhuri, Esha Sikander and Shirin Naveed and features the work of iIllustrator Osheen Siva.
